New Look Goth
'Gothic' doesn't always mean all black velvet and vampires...
...within the subculture itself there are many other offshoots of style and taste, one of which is a more vintage glamour styling, usually with a twist of some kind. (Moving further on then into the full-on 'Burlesque' stylings of retro-glamour artistes such as Dita Von Teese) So here's something different that's somewhere along those lines- a dress styled after the 1950's 'New Look' fashion era, re-worked to also have a slightly Gothic feel. The tie-front dress is made from a top-quality deep blood red velvet, and is hemmed and cuffed with an embossed soft leather trim. Different enough to matter, and wearable enough for a daily basis! Photographed here at St. Woolas Cathedral, Newport.
